The reunited band t.A.T.u. is planning to give an exclusive concert on July 19th, 2025 on the beach stage of the Mriya Resort in Yalta. URA.RU contacted the representatives of the artists to find out what songs the girls, whose repertoire has long been outside the scope of Russian laws, are planning to sing.
Julia Volkova’s PR manager was unable to give a specific answer to the corresponding request. “It will be in line with the law”, said the singer’s representative succinctly. When asked what songs fall inline with the law, since all of the band’s hits are “on the edge”, she hung up the phone.
Lena Katina’s rep announced that as of now there is no final list of songs which will be performed. “I have not yet seen the playlist. Once it is formalized, then we will know”, her manager explained.
t.A.T.u. was created by producer Ivan Shapovalov. The duo existed from 1999 to 2011. The girls were remembered for their provocative songs, including “Ya Soshla S Uma” and “Nas Ne Dogonyat”, as well as their daring outfits. The band’s success was built on provocative behavior and playing into unconventional love*. The group’s lyrics correspond. Now all of this is prohibited by law.
