Former Rebels t.A.T.u. Set Strict Conditions: What Viewers Will No Longer See

t.A.T.u members Lena Katina and Julia Volkova have introduced strict rules for their joint performances. The artists have refused kisses, hugs and flirting on stage.

This decision is dictated by compliance with Russian legislation. Performances will now be held under the “10+” rating. According to the Telegram channel Mash, the singers are ready to follow these restrictions in contracts and pay fines for violations.

In regards to the financial terms of the reunion: the fee for a joint concert is 10 million rubles (~$127,000). For comparison, Katina’s solo performances are estimated at 1 million rubles (~$12,700), and Volkova’s are at 1.5 million rubles (~$19,000).

The return of t.A.T.u. was officially announced on July 2. Volkova published a joint photo shoot with Katina, announcing new projects. At the same time, Lena Katina’s representative clarified that she will continue her solo career in parallel with her band’s activities.
