Lena Katina recently appeared on New Radio. Here are the highlights from the interview:

Lena said that she is ready to return to the stage, but not in the same huge way as before. She would rather do things little by little, attributing this to having two children. “I not ready to go on tour for a month, but I can perform at a concert for the weekend…I know that if I was to do this more strictly then things would be bigger, but I am fine as things are because I have time for my kids and family”.

When asked what kind of a singer Lena sees herself as 5-10 years from now, Lena responded, “I have no idea. Maybe I will say that I am sick of the stage and that I am leaving. I really do not know. But currently, as I have spent so much time at home, I miss being on stage and in the studio. Being in the studio is one of my favorite parts, I love to record songs”.

When asked why Lena has not asked Julia to record a track with her in all this time, Lena said, “Lena and Julia are t.A.T.u. … We had plans to record a song, we even recorded a demo. But it did not go anywhere, as it seems. I do not know why, because afterwards I went on maternity leave, I did not know how long I would be on it”.

Regarding speaking with Julia, Lena said that Julia and her speak every now and then. “We wish each other happy holidays”. When asked if Lena wished Julia a happy birthday in February, Lena said, “Of course”.

Regarding new music, “I am planning, as soon as possible, to start working on new material. To be honest, I have not even started looking for it. Regarding the style, I was able to experiment with the EP Mannequin and venture out of my comfort zone. I want to remain true to myself, but also go out of my comfort zone. So, the kind of material that it will be, when the videos will come out, and what kind of videos they will be, I cannot say.”
